BALANCING THE HEART OF HUMANITY

The September 23rd Equinox falls in the sign of Libra. Libra is a cardinal air sign that represents the balancing principle of masculine and feminine energies as they create beauty, harmony and equilibrium in the world. This sign is about relationships; not necessarily marriage, but our relationship to everything, within and outside of our own personality. It is through relationships that we make art and create everything that we see. Libra is ruled by Venus and is the sign of art. Libra is also an air sign, which tells us that the art of the heart is activated through the Breath. It is breath that links the heart to both heaven and earth, and vivifies it with the divine Life-force. This marriage of inner and outer, of above and below, of masculine and feminine and of shadow and light, are the platform of all Creation. Here we see that the relationship between the mind and the heart, the masculine and feminine principles, and the balance of the world, depends on this harmony and equilibrium of the vital life-force within us via our breath.

During the Equinox portal on September 23rd, we can connect to the power of heightened creativity by honoring our own inner balance. This can be accessed through the recognition of beauty and harmony in all that we do and see. When we look for the harmony, it appears. When we look for the chaos, it appears. Our Vision; the creative projection of life, ruled by Aries (the opposite sign of Libra), is affected by our own inner balance. In the same way the artist projects his or her own inner magnetic balance onto the canvas, we too, are the artists of our own reality. The quality of art we make, can awaken those around us and ignite a portal into the higher levels of divine love on Earth.
